(V. 28.) FM regulation:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u201cWater intended for animal consumption must meet the quality requirements applicable to water intended for human consumption.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is mandatory for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>dairy cattle farms<\/li>\n<li>pig farms (fattening and slaughter)<\/li>\n<li>poultry farms and egg-laying operations<\/li>\n<li>calf and piglet rearing units<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>5\/2023. (I. 12.) government regulation:<\/strong><br \/>\nThis transposes directive 98\/83\/EC and, while it primarily applies to human drinking water, it also indirectly affects livestock farms due to food safety chain regulations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conclusion:<\/strong><br \/>\nWater provided to animals must be verifiably of drinking water quality.
